Further Rationalization of Indian Visa Regime – Amendments to various Chapters and Appendices of the Visa Manual, 2019

Greetings in the 76th year of the Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India)!
We wish to inform you that the Government of India has introduced amendments to various Chapters and Appendices of the Visa Manual, 2019, as part of the Further Rationalization of the Indian Visa Regime.
The amendments include changes in visa categories, modification of the Tourist Visa (T) to Visitor Visa (V) with V-1 and V-2 sub-categories, and the introduction of e-Group Visit Visa (Cruise), among other provisions.
Members are requested to refer to the attached Office Memorandum dated 16 September 2026 for detailed information on the amendments.
